How to Leverage Twitter for Success

I’m a big fan of Twitter. It’s safe to say it has turned into my preferred social network. For me, Twitter provides great versatility and value, and it can for you as well.

I recently took inventory of my followers on Twitter and was surprised at how many had not been active on the network in many months. What happened? How did they loose interest in Twitter?

This got me thinking about why I’ve continued on Twitter, and the reason is because I see its value. If you’ve been losing interest in Twitter, have you thought about its full potential? You need to go beyond status updates.

With these thoughts in mind, here are 10 reasons I value Twitter:
 
I can learn from other professionals
 
I can share what I’m learning
 
I find out about breaking news
 
I can meet new people from around the world
 
I can take part in chats in my area of interest
 
I can get questions answered
 
I can connect more quickly with a brand (in some cases)
 
I learn about interesting events
 
I can build my personal brand
 
Twitter is fun!

You can enjoy many or all of these benefits as well. If you haven’t been using Twitter for some of these areas, perhaps you should give them a try. I’m confident you’ll begin to derive more value if you do.
